Lacrosse
The girls varsity lacrosse team dominated Princeton Day School on May 15 in its last match of the season with a score of 18-15. Season highlights include senior midfielder Daniela Kelly’s 100th career goal against Hill, as well as a 4-1 record in the MAPL. The team ended the season with a 9-7 record overall.
Boys varsity lacrosse qualified for the Prep A NJISAA semifinals, but was defeated by Hun 13-5 on May 5. Despite the semifinal loss, the team went 2-3 in the MAPL, with wins over perennial rivals Blair and Mercersburg.

Softball
Girls varsity softball had another solid season, with an 8-2 MAPL record. In a tight season against Blair, Peddie won in early April by a narrow 3-2 margin, before dropping a 2-3 decision in early May. In the NJISAA championship game, Blair and Peddie faced off once again, ending the season as co-champions due to Blair’s eventual 8-2 MAPL record.
“The championship game against Blair was the perfect display of heart and grit that the girls on this team have,” Evie Claussell ’15 said. “We played with intensity and urgency that kept us going and we stuck together until the end. Our hard work still paid off, carrying us to be co-champions with Blair in the end.”

Baseball
The boys varsity baseball team struggled with injuries and the loss of eight seniors from the 2013 season. Despite the team’s overall 5-16 record, the boys still maintain a positive outlook for the 2015 season.
“It was a rough season with a few injuries that set us back, but there was some young stand-out talent that we will be able to take into next season as we work to win the MAPL,” Alex Hermanson ’16 said.

Golf
The boys golf team had a standout season, winning both the MAPL and NJISAA tournaments. Kyle Sterbinksy ’15 captured his second-consecutive title at the Garden State Cup championships in early April. Additionally, Sterbinsky landed the rare “double eagle,” or second shot, at the NJISAA tournament this past Thursday. The team ended their season with a 5-1 overall record.

Track
Boys and girls track controlled the MAPL competition, with both teams ending the season with a 3-0 MAPL record. Although the MAPL tournament was shortened due to inclement weather, the teams proved their skill in the NJISAA track relays in early April. David Ryslik ’15 captured the gold in the shotput and discus, and the team of Anna-Karin Hess ’14, Cindy George ’16, Mecca Harris ’16, and Aisha Kumar ’17 secured first in the 4×200 meter relay.

Tennis
Boys varsity tennis ended their season with a .500 average. Their season consisted of close wins, including a 3-2 win over Hightstown High School and a 4-3 win over Germantown Academy, as well as a narrow 2-3 loss to Pennington. The team placed fifth at the MAPL tournament overall.

Crew
Boys’ and girls’ crew had a steady season, capturing third place in the MAPL tournament and retaining the Perry-Johnson Cup against Hun for the fourth-straight year. Despite heavy winds and choppy waters, Peddie secured five out of six varsity races against Hun and split the novice eights. In the MAPL, boys captured 2nd, 4th and 3rd place in the top three boats. The girls proved consistent with third-place finishes all across the board. Girls’ crew was slated to race in the semifinals of the Stotesbury Regatta on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, but the race was cut short due to inclement weather.
