Peddie has finally redeemed the Potter-Kelley Cup after four years of losing the cup to Blair. With an overwhelming final score of eight wins, three losses, and two ties, the fall athletes were able to bring the cup back home.

“As a coach you want to see your team peak at the end of the season and I believe we saw that on Blair Day,” Athletic Director Jim Domoracki said. “Our teams were at their best. As part of the Peddie community, I was proud of the fact we had so many students there cheering our teams on. Win, lose or draw we showed our Falcon spirit. I am really happy we took the cup back – so many worked their tails off to make it happen. It’s good to be a Falcon!”

Although the last game of Blair Day and of the season ended on varsity football’s loss to Blair with a score of 7-20, all of the Peddie students came to cheer on the team. Everyone counted down to the last second of the football game and then stormed the field while shouting and cheering.

“Peddie girls soccer fought hard throughout our entire game, including overtime. We played with heart, and that is what wins games on Blair day. The greatest moment was when a sea of blue and gold stormed the field after our golden goal,” said Caitlin Barrett ’17.

For the seniors, winning the cup is the ultimate way to end their Peddie career.

“Blair Day this year was a super positive experience. As a senior who lost the cup 3 times, winning this year was the best thing ever! I could actually see what the cup looked like up close!” Emily Fu ’15 said.
