Boys Soccer Stays Steady

By: Katy Hennessy ’14

The boys varsity soccer team played Episcopal Academy on Sept. 16.

Though all players, most notably co-captain Chase Covello ’15 and keeper Jake Leahy ’16, played well, the game ended with their third tie of the season (0-0).

Next, they faced off against perennial rival St. Benedict’s Prep on Sept. 18. It was a fast-paced, physical battle that ended with a victory for St. Benedict’s (7-0).

On Sept. 2 they played an exciting game against Hightstown High School, in which Danny Hallowell ’16 and Tully Moyer ’14 scored their first goals of the season.

“Chase played a great ball in towards the goal, and I just got a lucky bounce off their keeper right in front,” Moyer said.

However, Hightstown pulled through for a 4-2 win.
