The week of August 20, Peddie fall athletes from six varsity teams descended upon campus and moved into the dorms for preseason. Having won Blair Day last year, Falcons from the cross country, field hockey, football, soccer and tennis teams were eager to “begin their labors anew” with hopes of hanging on to the Kelley-Potter Cup. To this end, new Director of Athletics Rich D’Andrea ‘01 ensured that preseason was filled with intense practices, challenging workouts and team bonding events.
Once the residential portion of preseason concluded, commuter practices were held through September 4, the first official day of classes. An event at Colonial Bowling in Lawrence, New Jersey, capped off the athletes’ two weeks of hard work. With preseason behind them, Peddie teams are now focused on MAPL competitions which will culminate on November 4 against our century-old rival, Blair.
