Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of a Peddie faculty member, coach and alumni is like? Cristina Castrillon is a psychology teacher and field hockey coach at Peddie, and her teacher spotlight gives us some insight into her day-to-day life.
Ms. Castrillon wakes up an hour before she leaves her house. “My day usually starts by hitting snooze a couple of times before getting ready to my Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify. I’d be lying if I said I was a morning person.” She currently resides in her dream home, which she is flipping with the assistance of YouTube videos.
Ms. Castrillon’s day usually begins with an 8 a.m. psychology class, and she spends her school days teaching, conversing with students and attending meetings in the schedule. Her Peddie day wraps up with field hockey practice, which she describes as “the best part of her day.” Ms. Castrillon eats dinner based on what she is in the mood for; however, she emphasizes that cooking is a “hard pass.” She ends her day by cleaning up and winding down by listening to music and talking to a loved one.
Ms. Castrillon gives us wonderful insight into the life of a Peddie teacher and alumni. As part of the Class of ’07, she spends her time at Peddie teaching psychology and coaching the sport of field hockey which she played while at Peddie.
