My name is Richard Hong and I believe I would be a strong representative on the Student Council. I am approachable and open to all the students as I don’t limit myself to any particular group of people. I want to know all of you. It is important to me that everyone’s voice will be heard. It is not only the representative who improves our community but the entire student body. We will work as a team. You could provide the ideas and I believe I can turn these ideas into action.

How will you ensure that your leadership is inclusive and representative of the entire student body?
I will ensure my leadership is inclusive by seeking input from all students. I will always put in  effort to achieve anyone’s suggestions to our community. I would create more opportunities for students to express their thoughts. For example, creating more anonymous surveys about food, events, and policies.

What initiatives do you have in mind to improve the overall school experience for your fellow students?
To improve the overall school experience, I would organize more freshman social events, to give students more ways to bond outside of academics. Especially activities including both day students and boarding students, so we have more opportunities to expand our social circle.
