Hey! I’m Diya, and I’m running to be your class representative. You should vote for me because I’m passionate about building a strong, connected community where everyone feels involved and heard. Whether it’s organizing creative events that bring us together, like themed class hangouts or friendly competitions, or making sure everyone has a voice in what we do as a class, I’m ready to work hard for all of us. This year has already been full of exciting moments, like cheering on our sports teams during Blair Day and celebrating our victories as a school. I want to carry that same energy into planning events that bring us together and making sure every classmate has a chance to contribute their ideas and make their mark. At the end of the day, I’m not just here to represent my ideas but to represent all of ours. Let’s make this year unforgettable—vote Diya for class rep!
How will you ensure that your leadership is inclusive and representative of the entire student body?
To make sure my leadership is inclusive and truly representative of the entire student body, I’ll make it a priorityto actively engage with all students, not just those who are outspoken or involved.
I also want to make sure class events reflect the diverse interests of everyone, so I would ask for feedback from different groups and work with others to plan activities that are fun and engaging for all. I’m committed to organizing things like class polls and group discussions to make sure everyone’s voice is valued, whether they’re involved in sports, arts, or any other part of Peddie life.
Leadership isn’t just about making decisions; it’s about making sure everyone feels seen and heard. I’ll always be looking for new ways to make sure our class feels united, regardless of our differences.
What initiatives do you have in mind to improve the overall school experience for your fellow students?
To improve the overall school experience for everyone, I want to focus on making Peddie feel even more connected and vibrant. First, I’d love to organize more student-led events that allow us to showcase our talents and passions—whether it’s a talent show, a student art exhibit, or a casual concert. These events would give everyone a chance to get involved and celebrate the unique qualities that make us who we are. Additionally, I’d like to bring more school-wide spirit to life through friendly competitions and themed events. Spirit weeks, school-wide challenges, or maybe even a class-wide battle for bragging rights could help everyone connect in a fun way and build that shared sense of school pride. I would also like to create opportunities for students to connect and relax through events like themed movie nights, outdoor picnics, or even mindfulness workshops. These moments would give us all a chance to unwind and have fun. Ultimately, I want to help create an environment where every student feels like they have a place to belong, and we can all contribute to making Peddie even better.
