I am Amelia Kunamneni, and I strive to lead our freshman class through collaboration, inclusivity, and communication. I feel confident that I can represent our vibrant student body. I aim to create a sense of belonging as we continue through our own personal journeys’. I understand how demanding the academic, athletic, and even social challenges become at this school, because I have experienced these obstacles myself, and hope to support you through yours. Additionally, I am able to speak up for your beliefs, as well as my own, no matter who will judge me. As a leader, I am also open-minded towards all ideas. In my previous school, I organized a recreational pickleball team when students expressed their enthusiasm to play the sport. If I have the privilege of representing you, your voices will guide all of my decisions, eventually creating specific clubs and activities that are representative of our class as a whole. I would be honored to learn from the talented, diverse freshman. I am ready to work hard. I am ready to encourage my mistakes, and eventually grow from them. I am not running for a title, but for a chance to show Peddie how the class of 2028 will keep the Ala Viva burning bright with their brilliance.

How will you ensure that your leadership is inclusive and representative of the entire student body?
Using communication and empathy, I will prioritize understanding what the student body wants for Peddie. Even though I hope to become a trusted person to talk to, I also understand that not everyone is comfortable sharing their ideas directly. To account for this, I will develop a form where students can anonymously share their feelings at any time. The decisions on campus will be representative of the entire grade. Every voice will be heard.

What initiatives do you have in mind to improve the overall school experience for your fellow students?
To improve the overall falcon experience, I will focus on uniting the freshman class. As I’ve heard from other students, events like Poco and Humanities Games have formed life long friendships and memories. Therefore, I want to continue to build community by organizing competitions, socials, and a class trip every term. These activities will be chosen by vote to ensure that the event caters to the entire student body.
