Why do you really want to serve in this position?
I want to serve in this position because I genuinely care about making a real difference in our community. I don’t just want to be part of Peddie — I want to help shape it. I’m passionate about creating a school environment where every student feels connected, supported, and proud to be here. Being on Student Council would give me the opportunity to listen to my classmates, turn their ideas into action, and build traditions and experiences that leave a lasting impact. The class of 2028 is the best on campus. We have made so many great memories altogether, not just within our own circles, but as a class. I am not here to serve for the title. Regardless of whether I win or not, I will continue to be a leader for our grade and make sure we continue to be the best. That being said, I’m ready to work hard, lead with heart, and help make Peddie an even better place for everyone.
Why should your peers choose you to represent them on the Student Council and in the Peddie community? What qualities do you possess that will allow you to be a successful representative? What ideas do you want to bring to Student Council?
I believe my peers should choose me to represent them because I am hardworking, responsible, and committed to making Peddie the best it can be. Swimming has taught me discipline and perseverance, while softball has strengthened my teamwork and leadership skills. These experiences have prepared me to listen, communicate, and take action effectively. As a representative, I want to bring fresh ideas like scavenger hunts, dodgeball tournaments, slip and slides, water gun fights, and so much more. All these ideas are very sporty, but that might not fit everyone on campus. The art that has been created by our grade is incredible, so I would also propose a team art competition. As your class rep I will make sure that your voice, along with everyone else’s will be heard.
How will you ensure that your leadership is inclusive and representative of the entire student body?
I will ensure my leadership is inclusive and truly representative by actively listening to all voices — not just the loudest ones. I’ll seek out ideas from different groups, ask for honest feedback, and make sure everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts. As someone who is on multiple sport teams, and is taking a variety of art and music classes, I am exposed to a variety of people with different ideas, thoughts, and styles of expression. This exposure will allow me to thoroughly hear everyone’s voices and have a pulse of the community. I believe leadership isn’t about making decisions alone; it’s about creating a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. By staying open-minded, approachable, and committed to fairness, I will work to make sure every part of our student body is reflected in the choices we make together.
What initiatives do you have in mind to improve the overall school experience for your fellow students?
I want to bring new initiatives that strengthen school spirit, build connections, and make everyday life at Peddie even better. Some ideas I have are hosting more spirit weeks, creating student-led events that highlight different talents and cultures, and setting up casual meetups where students can share ideas or just unwind together. I’d also like to introduce more ways to recognize student achievements — not just in academics or sports, but in all areas. My goal is to make sure every student feels involved, appreciated, and proud to be part of the Peddie community.
How might your academic and extracurricular obligations next year impact your role as a member of Student Council?
While I know my academic and extracurricular commitments will keep me busy, I believe they will make me an even stronger Student Council member. Swimming and softball have taught me how to manage my time, stay organized, and prioritize what matters most. I’m used to balancing a full schedule while still giving 100% to everything I’m involved in. I’m fully committed to making Student Council a priority, and I will make sure that no matter how busy I am, my energy, effort, and focus will always be there to represent and support my classmates.
