Why do you really want to serve in this position?
I enjoyed being able to discuss with people in all grades when I served in my freshmen year. I want to be able to plan and help out with events for our grade and school more as well.
Why should your peers choose you to represent them on the Student Council and in the Peddie community? What qualities do you possess that will allow you to be a successful representative? What ideas do you want to bring to Student Council?
I am a really open person and I smile a lot. When I set myself up for a task, I always complete it to the end, working hard as I’ve developed this mindset from all the different aspects of Peddie I participate in whether that be music, running, or academics. As a part of Student Council, I would want to bring ideas of how to engage people more in the musical or sports aspects of Peddie for support as well as engaging our class with others as well through fun events similar but less grand to the Korea trip over spring break.
How will you ensure that your leadership is inclusive and representative of the entire student body?
I will be sure to check in on people or see their opinions from forms if needed.
What initiatives do you have in mind to improve the overall school experience for your fellow students?
Engaging people more in different grades, the same grade, and the musical, sports, robotics and not just limited to the academic life of Peddie.
How might your academic and extracurricular obligations next year impact your role as a member of Student Council?
Classes like AP French are great to be able be in a setting with people other than your grade and as a member of the TLC (Team Leader Council) for track, I am familiar with meeting with students to discuss on how to improve our team.
