Being on the discipline committee often requires that you put the needs of the school ahead of your personal feelings and friendships. In light of this, why should your peers choose you to represent them on a committee which makes decisions that have a profound impact on individuals and the school community as a whole? What qualities do you possess that make you a good candidate for this position?
Hello, my name is Kira Pramanik and I’m a junior boarding student from Philly! I’ve been heavily involved with the SDEI council and served as the co-chair sophomore year. As a result, I have experience with listening to a variety of perspectives and I’ve learned how to facilitate difficult conversations. Additionally, my previous leadership roles have taught me how to understand biases and overcome them. As a member of the Disciplinary Committee, I promise to be a fair and impartial listener. I’m committed to making rational decisions based on all sources. Overall, I hope to serve our community by approaching situations with an open mind and fairness. Thank you so much for reading!
How might your academic and extracurricular obligations next year impact your role as a member of the Disciplinary Committee?
I’m a student-athlete and involved with different organizations on campus. However, I don’t see my future obligations as a challenge for being involved in the DC. I’m very organized and time-block when I do certain activities.
