Being on the discipline committee often requires that you put the needs of the school ahead of your personal feelings and friendships. In light of this, why should your peers choose you to represent them on a committee which makes decisions that have a profound impact on individuals and the school community as a whole? What qualities do you possess that make you a good candidate for this position?
Hey Peddie!
My name is Grace Lee, and I am a junior day student. Throughout my time at Peddie so far, I have had the opportunity to connect with many different people across campus through my involvement in a range of activities, like sports teams, clubs, and other student organizations, broadening my perspective and teaching me the importance of listening and collaborating with my peers. This position requires keeping an open mind to hear all perspectives to help make the best decision for the school, and I am committed to approaching every situation thoughtfully, objectively, and with empathy. I care very deeply about this school and our community, and I will use my judgment to help make a fair decision.
How might your academic and extracurricular obligations next year impact your role as a member of the Disciplinary Committee?
Although I plan to keep challenging myself academically and stay involved in extracurriculars next year, I am confident in my time management skills and my ability to prioritize important responsibilities like this one. I have learned how to balance leadership roles and academics without compromising my responsibilities. I will make this role a top priority and ensure I am fully present and prepared. Thank you for your time and consideration!
Ala Viva!
Grace
