Being on the discipline committee often requires that you put the needs of the school ahead of your personal feelings and friendships. In light of this, why should your peers choose you to represent them on a committee which makes decisions that have a profound impact on individuals and the school community as a whole? What qualities do you possess that make you a good candidate for this position?
My friends should choose me to represent them on a committee because I am fair, respectful, and committed to doing what is best for the Peddie community. I will be able to put my personal feelings and friendships aside and judge each case like its own, thoughtfully, and objectively. I never want to see someone get unfairly punished. I understand that people are young and make mistakes and I believe that one action doesn’t define you. I am also a great listener and will always take both sides into consideration. These beliefs and characteristics will make me a good candidate for discipline committee who will make fair and balanced decisions while doing what’s best for the community.
How might your academic and extracurricular obligations next year impact your role as a member of the Disciplinary Committee?
My academics and extracurricular obligations next year will not get in the way of my role as a member of the Disciplinary Committee, rather they will help my allowing me to gain more perspectives and help me be a fair and impartial member of the Disciplinary Committee.
