An exciting mixture of QR codes, blasting music and bribery in the form of candy was on full display at this year’s annual Club Fair. Located on the vibrant lawn of center campus, the club fair attracted most of the student body during DMX.
Peddie’s student organizations encompass 74 clubs, interest groups, affinity groups and community service groups. At the Club Fair, each organization came ready and armed with a poster and a creative way to recruit students. Peddie’s Chess Club engaged in multiple matches during the Fair, and the Photo Club had a frame (pictured above) for students to pose with, which made its way onto everyone’s Instagram story.
All clubs and organizations can be viewed and joined through ClubHub, a newly implemented website that displays all the organizations available at Peddie. The website also shows descriptions of each club and when they meet. It’s a useful tool for all club-goers on campus.
Apart from the clever advertising strategies club leaders used at the Fair, everyone who attended found themselves surrounded by a variety of options, from more interest-based clubs like Bon Appétit and the Brawl Stars Club to more academic ones like the Peddie International Relations Council. (A list of all the clubs and organizations can be found on the Peddie website.)
The diversity of clubs at Peddie allows students to thrive outside the classroom, further pursue their interests and have a healthy work-play balance.
The Club Fair also seems to have inspired a lot of the new students on campus. Meghana Indupuru ‘29 commented, “The Club Fair opened my eyes to the numerous activities here at Peddie, and the diversity of the student body. I left the fair excited to pursue new activities.”
The campus is excited for the year ahead for all the clubs at Peddie. Many of them will surely make an impact on various individuals here and help them shine.
