Candidate Statement:

I look forward to cultivating a school culture that puts emphasis on school spirit and pride for its athletic programs. I also will increase participation in arts and student life through interactive fun and entertaining school meetings. During my time at Peddie I have seen three different students take on the role of vice president. What these Vice presidents all had in common was their ability to put themselves out their and not fear embarrassment all in hope of entertaining and improving the day of their peers. This is something i would replicate if elected school Vice President.

Governing student council and the school will take a good portion of your time, what other activities both in and out of school do you plan on participating in? How will you balance them?

At Peddle, I participate in the wrestling program, and while that will take up some time in the winter it will not come before I complete my duty’s as a Vice president. During Saturday tournaments and other away duals I will work in between my matches and supporting my teammates in order to free up time for planning of student life events etc.

What qualities do you possess that makes you a good role model and representative that will allow you to be a leader of the entire school? 

throughout my life i have always wanted to do right by my peers and seeing everything that this school and my peers have done for me, I would be displeased if I could not do right by them in return. I am able to plan events in conjunction with the student body that would not just sound fun, but would actually be practical and enjoyable for the school

What ideas do you have for change and how would you implement these ideas? What would you like to continue?

If elected Vice President I would hope to put far more emphasis on school athletics and showing up for all of the various athletic events. I truly believe that having a crowded student section more often than just PSIT weekend or Blair day is not only fun for the spectators but improves how our athletics teams play. I would encourage the student body to attend more school events by coordinating concessions with ACON as well working with Peddie student social media to get the word out about home games, and themes. One thing I would really want to the student government to keep doing is coordinating these themes with the various social media pages which are dedicated to that purpose.
