On November 8, 2025, Peddie athletes and students gathered on buses early in the morning on the way to Blair, eager to secure the cup for a consecutive win this year. They were joined by our head of school, Mr. Hamilton, who was also filled with excitement on the way to his first Blair Day. He recounted, “The school spirit was high, and it was thrilling to watch all of our teams compete.”

Although the Peddie Girls JV Tennis team lost to Blair for the first point for the Kelley-Potter Cup earlier in the week, the Falcons were evermore determined to come back victorious.
Almost always a sure win, the Peddie Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country teams won against Blair, tallying a total of two points to start off the day. It was a great day to run as Elie Meyer ’26 crossed the finish line first for the boys in a time of 17:22, followed by Jerry Wang ’26 (18:05), Theo Salapatas ’27 (18:09) and Aldrin Bonilla ’29 (18:35). They placed second, third and fourth consecutively, dominating the course against Blair. Similarly, the Peddie girls dominated Blair as they also claimed the first, second, third and fourth spots consecutively. Shanel Tan ’26 crossed the finish line first for the first time in a cross country meet in a time of 20:01, followed by Caitlin Williams ’26 (20:02), Charis Chien ’27 (20:57) and Blanka Mularczyk ’27 (23:01). The next games would determine the fate of the Cup, as the winning team would need three more wins in order to secure a victory.

Another strong contender for earning points for Peddie was the Peddie Girls Varsity Tennis team, which defeated Blair with a score of 8-1. Brielle Quaye ’26, Victoria Vahi ’26, Saanvi Gudapti ’26, Ely Ting ’26 and Sophie Wang ’26 won at first, second, third, fourth and fifth singles respectively; and Eloise Mendelson ’26 & Quaye ’26, Vicky Chen ’29 & Vahi ’26, and Loukya Pakalapati ’26 & Coco Zhou ’26 won at first, second and third doubles respectively. This put Peddie in the lead for the Cup, with a score of 4-3 against Blair.
The Peddie Girls JV Soccer team then swept Blair 5-1, with both Addie Rosenberg ’28 and Riley Toomey ’29 scoring two goals, and Ava Dorfner ’27 scoring the final winning goal. With Peddie up 5-3 against Blair, it was now up to the Boys Varsity Soccer game and the Varsity Football game to determine the final outcome of Blair Day.
Peddie Boys Varsity Soccer eventually defeated Blair 1-0, with Christian Tharney ’27 scoring the winning goal, assisted by Tommy Kim ’27. Victory was now Peddie’s. With the tally for the Cup at 6-3, Peddie students rushed the soccer field as the game concluded, overjoyed by the sweet and sure victory they had just earned.
The day ended with the Peddie Varsity Football team losing to Blair 42-18, a hard-fought game that saw Jeremiah Davis ’26, Joey Gaston ’26 and Cooper Allen ’26 scoring touchdowns.
Soaking in the victory at the end of the day, the Falcons stormed the football field, resting assured that the Kelley-Potter Cup would reside at The Peddie School once more this year.

Highlights throughout the day included a special performance featuring both Peddie and Blair students singing the National Anthem to start off the day, as well as many sports teams celebrating Senior Day.
