Why do you really want to serve in this position? 

I want to serve in this position because I enjoy collaborating with others and want to ensure that everyone in our community feels heard and supported.

Why should your peers choose you to represent them on the Student Council and in the Peddie community? What qualities do you possess that will allow you to be a successful representative? What ideas do you want to bring to Student Council? 

I believe my peers should choose me because I am responsible and empathetic. I am a strong listener who takes the time to understand problems from others’ perspectives, and I want to ensure that everyone feels heard and respected. Peddie is the best school community I have been a part of, and I want to help make sure it continues to be the same positive and supportive environment for everyone. If I am elected as student representative, you can expect someone who will take this role seriously, actively seeking feedback, and work hard to represent the voices of others.

How will you ensure that your leadership is inclusive and representative of the entire student body? 

I will ensure that my leadership is inclusive by actively seeking out feedback from others beyond just my friend group. I will be sending out surveys and be committed to include everyone’s opinions.

What initiatives do you have in mind to improve the overall school experience for your fellow students? 

I plan to improve school life by organizing fun events that include everyone, creating easy ways for students to share their ideas, and supporting projects that reduce stress and promote well-being.

How might your academic and extracurricular obligations next year impact your role as a member of Student Council?

Next year, I expect to take more challenging courses, but this will not affect the effort I put into my role as a member of Student Council. Managing time and balancing schoolwork are essential skills, and I believe I am prepared to take on the challenge academically and handle my role.
