Why do you really want to serve in this position? 

I want to be your class rep because I get things done. I already talk a lot, why not make it official? I’ll make sure your voices are heard, not just mine. Bottom line: I’ll be more reliable than the Peddie wifi. That’s not a high bar, but it gets the job done.

Why should your peers choose you to represent them on the Student Council and in the Peddie community? What qualities do you possess that will allow you to be a successful representative? What ideas do you want to bring to Student Council? 

You guys should pick me for class rep because my ideas work. Want more options in the dining hall? My plan is to have students decide on some meals each week. Additionally, I am always open to suggestions and will listen. Your voice will be heard by me, unless you say 67, seriously, people gotta stop dragging that. Besides that, I will work for everyone.

How will you ensure that your leadership is inclusive and representative of the entire student body? 

I will talk to people whenever I can. A lot of you have already seen me around campus asking what you want to change about the school. I will continue that as class rep, not only during the campaign. It will be like all of you are the class rep, and I will just be the guy who speaks for you.

What initiatives do you have in mind to improve the overall school experience for your fellow students? 

I’ve got a few ideas already. First, a weekly vote, so YOU get to pick one menu item in the dining hall. No more trekking all the way to Maninos every day (I know it’s not far, but come on, I’m lazy) we can have more options. Second, more input for grill specials. We get Dunkin’ every day, so why not treat ourselves to Taco Bell burritos once a week? Or whatever you want, if you can dream it, we can sell it. And lastly, let’s ask about a credit card scanner in the library.

How might your academic and extracurricular obligations next year impact your role as a member of Student Council?

My classes and activities will keep me busy, but I’m a big boy. I can handle it. I will always put my role as class rep first, no matter what happens.
