Why should your peers choose you to represent them on the Student Council and in the Peddie community? What qualities do you possess that will allow you to be a successful representative? What ideas do you want to bring to Student Council?
Hey class of 2027! My name is Renee You and I’m running for class representative. I hope you consider me as your vote because I can lead us to an enjoyable learning environment. I love communicating with others about their thoughts and ideas on how we can improve this school together, and I genuinely care about making our school experience unforgettable. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Peddie so far, whether that be dressing up head to toe in school spirit, or playing sports with friends. If elected, I promise not to bore you with long speeches or drown you in unexciting events. I want to bring awareness to situations or topics you as a student might feel the need to express. Why are you worrying about who to vote for? Stop the stress and vote Renee for class rep!
What have you enjoyed most at Peddie this fall?
I enjoyed engaging within the Peddie community, whether that be through sports or clubs, and I love how diverse and welcoming Peddie is. Meeting new people and learning through Peddie’s unique curriculum has given me a new perspective of the world and I look forward to
my next years here.
What are some clubs, activities, teams, or groups that you’re a part of on campus?
I honestly don’t know all the clubs I’m in, I signed up for all of them during the club fair but I think the most significant ones I remember were the terrapin club and the red cross club! I play tennis and basketball for Peddie, as well as in the orchestra.
What is your favorite Peddie tradition so far?
My favorite Peddie tradition I’ve experienced so far is the events our school hosts leading up to Blair Day. I especially liked the petting zoo during spirit week, as well as our pep rally!
What’s your favorite holiday?
My favorite holidays are Christmas and Halloween and I love movies relating to the holidays.
What is your favorite Peddie memory?
Although I haven’t been at Peddie for a full year, I definitely think Blair Day will hold a special memory, even though I think we should have won (refs were highkey blind).
What’s your favorite TV show?
My favorite TV show is either New Girl, AHS, or shameless.
What are some things you like to do in your free time?
I love to spend time with friends and family, traveling, and shopping in my free time.

A fun fact is I got stung by a marine jellyfish once in the Bahamas.
